What to Watch

• Use the selectors to change n (slices or layers) and notice how higher counts flatten the rearranged shapes.
• In Slicing, follow the wedges as they alternate up/down into a near-rectangle labeled (πr) × r = πr².
• In Peeling, watch rings unwrap into stacked strips that form a triangle labeled ½ × (2πr) × r = πr².
• Remember: nothing is added or removed—rearranging preserves the circle’s area.

Both modes rely on the same idea: as slices or layers get thinner, their curved edges straighten. The labels πr, 2πr, and r come directly from the circle’s circumference and radius, making the leap to πr² feel inevitable rather than memorized.
