How to Play
How to Play
- Choose single-digit or double-digit mode, then select whether the target number is random or manual.
- Tap Start and scan the floating bubbles.
- Pop only the bubbles that display the target number. Correct pops raise the score and increase the wave speed; misses lower accuracy.
- Press Stop to pause, change targets, or compare stats with a classmate.
Knowledge Background
The game strengthens numeral recognition, comparison, and mental math. Learners must rapidly distinguish target numbers from distractors, sharpening attention and place-value understanding (especially when switching between single and double digits).
Why This Helps Kids
Quick-reaction games provide the repetition needed for fluency without feeling repetitive. Students also practice perseverance and self-monitoring as they chase higher accuracy each round.
Extensions & Teacher Tips
- Assign different targets to partners and have them race, then discuss strategies for avoiding misses.
- Call out mental-math challenges (“Pop numbers that are doubles facts” or “Pop even numbers bigger than 30”).
- Use the accuracy stat to start conversations about growth mindset and goal setting.
- Alternate with Pop Letter Bubbles or Counting Shooting Stars for a balanced literacy/math rotation.
